Employment History:
Sage Technologies – Electrical Engineer: 2007 – 2010
v Raised the level of productivity in avionics such in way, that a record breaking level of module production emerged two months after my hire date.
v Developed a written methodology for debugging and repairing production transponders that was so successful that a backlog of 160 transponders were all shipped to customers and generated $800,000 not previously realized
v Wrote a test procedure as a Microsoft Windows application that reduced required technician hours by an estimated 26,000 hours per year.
v Introduced lean six sigma methodology into the production of avionics and transponders -- leading to a 60% drop in returns for defects
v Built, tested, and debugged avionics, RF transceivers and transponders.
v Wrote technical documents that included that include a more complete accounting of best know methods, thereby lowering the defect rate of avionics modules
v Debugged RF circuitry with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other equipment
v Design and drafting using AutoCAD 2009 – Electrical diagrams and aerodynamic components
Intel Corporation – Design Engineer: 1997 – 2007
v Developed techniques in domino circuitry that enabled the fastest part of the chip to be clocked 15% faster, thereby raising the performance above and beyond the business competition
v Wrote reliability verification software that provided designers with sufficiently improved data that it enabled the project to complete four weeks ahead of the projected schedule.
v Solved what was considered an intractable routing problem and saved the project two to three weeks and according to management, saved the company two million dollars in direct research and development costs plus an unknown amount in market share.
v Received a special recognition award from upper management for making quality improvements that impacted an entire 400 plus person development team.
v Developed CMOS layout through the use of Cadence and Intel CAD tools.
v Used and developed -- digital, analog, different varieties of domino, and static technologies.
v Drew a style of domino layout that required very exact placement, shielding, and capacitance limitations – developed and used the unique skills required to make this layout to work.
v Pioneered the use of layout tools where I tested layout software that was still in development – provided feedback to developers when appropriate.
